What to Avoid Before Treatment
- Don't allow the victim to press on or rub an injured eye
- Don't use any kind of sharp instruments - such as tweezers - on the eye
- Don't use dry cotton - including cotton swabs
- Don't remove anything that appears to be embedded in any part of the eye
- Don't even try to remove a foreign body that is resting on the cornea
